More About Brain Balance of Woodbury
Our Whole Brain Approach
Did you know the brain can change at any age? Change in the brain can refer to new pathways being formed or connections becoming stronger and more efficient. New pathways are formed through sensory stimulation, life experiences and new information. These connections and pathways are important because they communicate with all regions of the brain, allowing us to successfully perform daily cognitive and physical tasks, and facilitating our executive functioning.
When individuals struggle with focus, behavior, or sensory processing, it can be linked to weak connections across different regions in the brain. But the good news is, we know that the brain can change.
The Brain Balance program is designed to strengthen and build brain connectivity with a unique combination of physical, sensory, and cognitive activities. These new, efficient, and effective connections in the brain help improve in the following areas:
- Cognitive Tasks
- Executive Functioning
- Focus
- Memory
- Learning
- Comprehension
- Reasoning
- Behaviors & EmotionsOrganization
- Self-motivation
- Problem Solving
By building stronger brain connections, you can help yourself or your child get to the root of their challenges and build a stronger foundation for success.

Brain Balance Has A Plan For Kids Who Struggle
For parents, one of the hardest experiences is seeing your child struggle with academic, social, or behavioral issues. It can often feel overwhelming when you know that your child is struggling, especially when it seems as though resources for help are limited. We want you to know that help is out there and that your family doesn’t have to work through these issues alone. Brain Balance Woodbury, MN specializes in helping children overcome the obstacles they may be facing both at home and in the classroom.
At Brain Balance, there is hope for children struggling with meltdowns, low confidence and/or focusing both inside and outside of the classroom. Our holistic program can help children with a variety of childhood developmental and learning disorders, including Attention Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Asperger Syndrome, and Leaky Gut. Our program at Brain Balance Achievement Center of Woodbury addresses the root cause of each child’s unique issue and creates a custom plan based on the results of a child’s personal assessment. Our center’s drug-free, integrated approach combines sensory-motor activities, academic skill activities, and a healthy eating program with at-home exercises to address the whole-child. Want to help your child achieve their full potential? Contact Brain Balance Achievement Center of Woodbury to get started.
A Non-Medical, Drug-Free, Whole-Child Approach
We know that not every child who struggles with a learning or developmental issue is the same. That’s why the program at Brain Balance Achievement Center of Woodbury begins with an in-depth assessment of your child. This allows us to develop a personalized program to meet your child’s specific needs. Next, we have in-center training sessions that cover academic skills and sensory-motor training. These sessions are three times a week for one hour each. The number of sessions that each child needs will depend on their assessment results. Typically, the program is completed in 3-6 months; however, some children need more time in order to achieve their goals. The Brain Balance program also includes in-home activities that include exercises and/or a nutrition guide that will help create a positive, healthy home environment.
If your child is struggling with any type of learning, behavioral, or social issue, it’s important to get them the help they need. The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Woodbury can help you and your child manage or overcome the struggles they are facing by addressing the root issue and not the symptoms.
Let Us Help Get Your Child Back On Track
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Woodbury helps children who are facing social, behavioral, and academic issues both in the classroom and at home. Brain Balance has worked with tens of thousands of children across the country by developing a personal plan that addresses the child’s individual challenges. Our center can help if your child has been diagnosed by a doctor with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Asperger Syndrome, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and other types of common childhood-related disorders.
The Brain Balance program works to help children in Minnesota and Wisconsin by taking an integrated approach to common childhood issues. In order to ensure that local children are receiving the attention and the help that they need to succeed, we partner with multiple area school districts and work to collaborate with other support systems your child may have in place.

Brain Balance does not require that a child has a medical diagnosis, nor do we clinically diagnose medical conditions. Our focus is on understanding the struggles these children experience and helping them develop and strengthen the connections to help reduce those struggles.
For those who do have a diagnosis,1 research has shown that the unique challenges your child is facing can be linked to weak connections across different regions of the brain.
Get a deeper view into why your child struggles
The Brain Balance assessment provides you with a deeper view of your child’s struggles. During the assessment, your child’s sensory, motor and cognitive development are evaluated. This assessment helps identify areas of development that need strengthening. The reasons why a child may excel in some areas but has trouble in others will become clearer. From the results, we create a plan that helps your child overcome their struggles.
