We Help Kids Who Struggle With Learning Disorders

Brain Balance Achievement Center of Wesley Chapel Creates a Personalized Plan for Children with Learning Disorders

About Learning Disorders

The Brain Balance program in Wesley Chapel and across the country has helped tens of thousands of children with learning and developmental issues through an integrated, whole-child approach for over a decade. At the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Wesley Chapel, we can help children with learning disorders through an integrated, drug-free approach.

Learning disorders are classified as a group of disorders that inhibit the brain’s ability to receive, process, store, and communicate information. These disorders affect as many as 1 in 5 people across the United States, and they can cause an individual to have academic and motor-skill challenges. Learning disorders can contribute to difficulties in academic performance, and they can cultivate low self-esteem and trouble developing interpersonal relationships.

There are four common learning disorders that the Brain Balance program can help with: Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia.

  • Dyslexia - Children have trouble reading, recognizing letters, learning letter sounds, and identifying rhyming words. Initial signs include trouble learning to spell and write after a child begins school.
  • Dysgraphia - Children have difficulty with fine-motor skills. Initial signs include distorted, incorrect handwriting.
  • Dyscalculia - Children have problems learning fundamentals that include one or more basic numerical skills. Initial signs of this learning disorder includes trouble with basic addition and subtraction problems.
  • Dyspraxia - Children have difficulty carrying out routine tasks, such as balance, fine-motor control, and kinesthetic coordination.

The Brain Balance Program and Learning Disorders

Brain Balance Achievement Center of Wesley Chapel can help children with learning disorders find success in the classroom and at home. The Brain Balance Program begins with a personal assessment to help evaluate your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses. The assessment provides our center with invaluable information about your child’s current physical, verbal, and comprehension skills. Based on your child’s individual assessment, the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Wesley Chapel will construct a comprehensive, personal plan that addresses your child’s challenges.

The Brain Balance program works to help children with learning disorders in Wesley Chapel by combining customized sensory motor and academic activities that work to help improve left-brain connectivity, which leads to increased processing and learning skills. These activities, combined with a nutritional program and at-home activities , can help your child reach their physical, social, and academic potential.
