We Help Kids Who Struggle With Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Brain Balance Achievement Center of Westchase Has a Plan for Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
The Brain Balance Program of Westchase
As a parent, we know it can be difficult to watch your child struggle. That’s why the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Westchase is dedicated to helping children in the Westchase area meet their social, behavioral, and academic goals. The Brain Balance Program has helped thousands of children throughout the country and in Westchase overcome their challenges through our whole-child approach.
When children are first enrolled in The Brain Balance Program, our center provides them with a personalized assessment. This assessment helps us to identify each child’s unique strengths and challenges as well as helps us to develop a personalized plan that will help them overcome their struggles. In each child’s individualized plan, we include academic activities, sensory-motor training, and dietary guidelines, which we believe are valuable in developing an integrated, whole-child approach to Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other behavioral challenges.

The Brain Balance Program and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Symptoms of Oppositional Defiant Disorder in children can become noticeable before they turn 8-years old. These types of behaviors can come out while interacting with someone the child knows well, such as a teacher or family member. Behaviors happen frequently and are usually not common in other children around the same age group. They can cause significant issues at school, at home, or around other children. Signs often include: frequent arguments with adults or refusing to comply with rules, loss of temper, being resentful or vindictive, easily becoming annoying with others or purposely annoying others, and blaming others for one’s own misbehavior.
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Westchase works to improve developmental functions with your child through a drug-free, integrated approach that brings parents and kids together to achieve a common goal of improving a child’s processing and learning ability. Our personalized plans are created with your child in mind. Most children will have in-center sessions at least 3 times per week along with at-home activities; however, frequency and duration of both are determined by the results of your child’s assessment.
