We Help Kids Who Struggle With Dyslexia
Brain Balance Achievement Center of Kansas City Creates Personalized Plans for Children with Dyslexia
A Drug-Free, Integrated Approach To Dyslexia
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Kansas City is dedicated to helping children struggling with learning, behavioral, or social interactions reach their goals both inside and outside of the classroom. The first step of your child’s journey with Brain Balance is taking their personalized assessment. This assessment helps us to identify each child’s unique challenges and develop a personalized plan that will help the child overcome those struggles. Your child’s in-center sessions are individualized based on his or her assessment results. These sessions will activate the weaker areas of your child’s brain in order to increase function.
Our integrated, whole-child approach combines in-center sessions, activities, and nutrition in order to achieve the best results for your child. Included in each child’s customized program regimen are academic activities, sensory motor training, home exercises, and a healthy eating plan.

Dyslexia and The Brain Balance Program
As a learning disorder that causes children to have difficulty reading, Dyslexia can show itself in different ways and can involve a number of reading challenges. Characteristics of dyslexia in kids include:
- Difficulty Recognizing Letters
- Trouble Learning Letter Sounds
- Difficulty Identifying Rhyming Words
- Poor Fine Motor Skills
- Trouble Learning the Alphabet, Numbers, and Days of the Week
- Learning to Talk Later Than Most Children
Although dyslexia is a lifelong learning disability, approaches for dyslexia can help children to function better in an academic setting. The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Kansas City has developed a dyslexia program that can help your child overcome their learning obstacles by improving reading, spelling and writing skills. In Brain Balance’s approach to dyslexia we create a personalized plan for your child that includes 3 in-center visits per week in addition to at-home activities. These activities help your child reach their learning, social, and behavioral goals. Learn how The Brain Balance Program has benefited children with dyslexia by reading our stories from parents whose children have gone through the program.
