Dionna Webster

Dionna Webster

Assistant Director

Dionna is originally from Philadelphia, but made the move to Charlotte in pursuit of a change in scenery and fresh opportunities and growth, both personally and professionally. She feels privileged to be working with a dedicated team to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. Her role that aligns perfectly with her passion for helping others and promoting holistic development. Before joining the Brain Balance team, Dionna was Director of Office and Enrollment at YWCA Tri-County Area in Pennsylvania, where she demonstrated her dedication to community empowerment and social progress. And in 2018, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Journalism from Shippensburg University. Dionna will be assisting families by scheduling appointments such as Parent Conferences & Assessments, reminder calls for appointments, searching for engaging opportunities within the community, and taking payments.

Katy Davis

Katy Davis

Program Director

Katy Davis has over five years of experience with Brain Balance. After a hiatus, she recently returned in a dual role as both a Program Director on the Virtual team and the Program Director for the Cornelius Center. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a Degree focused on Human Biology. She, additionally, earned a certificate in Childhood Developmental Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders through the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation in 2017. Katy's compassion and empathy for Brain Balance families come from a place of understanding through her own struggles, and those of family members. Outside of her role, Katy is also a mother to a little one and loves traveling and spending as much time as possible outdoors. Katy will be assisting families by analyzing program data to ensure proper growth and working with our 1:1 students.

Nova Wheeler

Nova Wheeler

Center Director

In August 2022, Nova joined Brain Balance as Assistant Director and later became Center Director in April 2023. With 25 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in domestic and juvenile cases, Nova also volunteered on the Foster Care Review Board. As a mother of two sons, a daughter, and two stepsons, her personal experience with two of own children's ADHD diagnosis fueled her passion for helping children. Nova volunteered in schools, providing additional support, and held various positions in the PTO and Booster Clubs. Now at Brain Balance, she finds fulfillment in utilizing her skills and compassion to assist children in overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential. Her transition from the legal field to child development showcases her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. Nova will be assisting families with analyzing results from assessments, initial steps for program enrollment, and conducting school visits.
