Specialized Achievement Centers Forms Partnership with Crane Street Capital
Jersey City, N.J. – Brain Balance Achievement Centers, a nationwide franchise network of specialized achievement centers for children with behavior and learning issues, announced that it has received an equity investment from Crane Street Capital LLC (“Crane Street”). The capital will be used to facilitate growth in its franchise operations and to selectively open corporate sites in key markets where there is currently limited franchise coverage.

The newly formed partnership with Crane Street Capital LLC will help Brain Balance Achievement Centers reach its goal of having 120 centers by 2016. Brain Balance Achievement Centers was founded in 2006 by William Fowler and Dr. Robert Melillo, a researcher, professor, lecturer and bestselling author. The program’s curriculum is based on scientific research and Dr. Melillo’s theories that have helped children overcome learning disabilities and neurobehavioral issues for the past 20 years.
In addition to the investor news, Brain Balance announced the promotion of Heidi O’Neill to President of Franchise Operations. The company also welcomes Katie Killian to the corporate team in a new position as President, Corporate Centers. Katie brings a wealth of experience running national businesses in personal healthcare, learning centers, and post-secondary education. Dr. Robert Melillo will continue to serve as a Senior Curriculum Advisor to the Company.
